Two Professors of Medicine attended Medical Education Training Programme at CMC Vellore during the month of October 2012.
One Professor and One Assistant Professor attended RNTCP training Programme at Cochin during the month of October 2012.
RNTCP Nodal Officer attended RNTCP training Programme at Chennai during the Month of December 2012.
One Assistant Professor was sent to Madurai Medical College Madurai to get training in ECHO Cardiogram
 
SERVICES
 
Conduct daily Outpatient clinics supported by clinical laboratories and radiology  
Admit patients requiring in patient evaluation and treatment.
Fully supported by other departments.
Fully functioning IMCU and ICCU is under the care of the department.
Monthly continuing Medical Educational Programs are regularly conducted
We are conducting Monthly Death Audit Meeting Regularly during the last week of every month.
We are conducting Clinical Society Meeting involving all the departments every month.
            RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme)
            Master Health Checkup Programme
 
NCD OP
            Non communicable Diseases OP (Diabetes and Hyper tension) is regularly conducted by NCD Staff Members and it is supervised by Medicine Department Assistant Professors.
            Every Month 1500 to 1600 Patients are attending NCD OP for follow-up of and Diabetes and Hyper tension
 
SCREENING
            In our NCD OP 490 of Male Patients and 781 of Female patients are screened for Hyper tension during the Month of November 2012.
            In our NCD OP 335 Male Patients and 515 Female Patients are screened for Diabetes during the Month of November 2012.  
 
INFECTIVE DISEASES CONTROL MEASURES:
            One Professor of Medicine with Assistant Professor visited all the 6 Taluks Head Quarters Hospital to conduct Dengue Management Training Programme for PHC Medical Officers and Government Head Quarters Hospital Medical Officers, Staff Nurses and Lab Technicians.
